Call of Duty Action-Adventure

On March 2, Activision announced through a press release that a new Call of Duty game was in the works developed by Sledgehammer Games. In August 2010, Sledgehammer Games announced that they are indeed working on “Call Of Duty 8” and that they were speaking with actual soldiers to replicate experiences they have had in the war.

Sledgehammer was eventually pulled in to assist in the development of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, leaving the status of this action-adventure project unknown.
