Overview

Chessaria: The Tactical Adventure is a turn-based strategy game that mixes Chess and a story-based mission system. The game is developed and published by Pixel Wizards for PC, Mac and Linux.

Gameplay

Chessaria is played in turn-based battles on a variable sized grid. The six main playable characters are directly inspired by the chess pieces (the King, the Queen, the Rook, the Bishop, the Knight and the Pawn). The game introduces new pieces such as Villagers, Sleeping Units and Bosses and new missions.

Game Modes

The game is composed of two game modes: Adventure and Quick Game.

The Adventure mode is a solo campaign set in the universe of Chessaria.
The Quick Game is a local PvP // PvC mode that allows the player to play chess variants and original mini games.

Artifical Intelligence

Chessaria benefits from a custom A.I created by computer scientist and chess expert (PhD) Enrique Sanchez Acosta. With an ELO score of 2740 and exclusive features developed for Chessaria, the A.I. enables tactical missions such as assassination, domination or infiltration.

Kickstarter

The game was funded with the support of the Kickstarter community in December 2016 and officially selected by Kickstarter’s staff as “Project we Love”.
